An idea to limit this might be to remove the Powered by Wordpress line in the footer of the blog. They could be using that to find targets. They don't really want you to buy crap. The reason they put the link on your blog is so that when Google Bot visits your site, they will see you have a link to their site. It counts as a bonus point for them and helps increase their search engine rank. Annoying crap. I'm still laughing about the 'stache line in it though. I use wordpress. And so to filter my 150 or so weekly spam messages, I use Akismet. It is FANTASTIC. It's free for personal use and if you makin da money (over $500/month) they ask you to purchase a key...
