New month, new list of things to do, old feeling of…totally effin tired perhaps? I hear ya! I’m excited that one more month of winter has just passed us by and February is nice and short, but there’s still a ton to do right? Work, learning stuff, errands, (more…)
Are you eating “real” food? Food for a healthy and hot human woman…as opposed to food to feed say, a vending machine? You know what I’m talking about and if not get yourself educated stat! The old adage “you are what you eat” may not be spot on when it comes to making a healthy humanperson but it is a place to start. There’s stuff you should eat if you want to look and feel good and there is definitely stuff you shouldn’t even look at let alone put in your belly.
Unfortunately in this day and age the stuff you shouldn’t eat is in large and overwhelming supply. But the good news is (more…)
I did my nails the other day – hand painting dark grey on a set of white acrylic tips. Love the look of it but the longer nails are a leetle obnoxious to type with as my talons tap against the rows above my fingers. Ever run into that problem? I get by and it’s not terrible but I’m glad I’m not a stenographer.
Most of the time I can combine my need for daily glamour with my work duties just fine – high heels? check! signature perfume? check check! designer bra? yes indeedy! Just as long as I can walk, think, and type I’m pretty much set for some productivity.
It may seem a bit weird but I find a lot of psychological satisfaction from plucking my eyebrows. It’s a little thing really but does wonders at calming me down sometimes if I get a little riled up by work stuff or personal stuff or whatever. There’s other beautifying rituals I have in my life that not only make look better but also feel better and don’t require much time or effort. Painting my nails, putting on a little makeup, wearing a pretty top that compliments my skin tone – all sorts of wonderful little pick-me-ups I can benefit from. Beauty is more than just creating a pleasing surface to look at I think, or glamming it up for a special occasion – it’s found in the every day and can easily make you feel good about yourself when you look deeper.
What are your favorite beautifying rituals? How do they make you feel more than just a pretty face to behold?
This first month of the new year is certainly full of possibilities isn’t it? New this, new that, shiny, sparkly, fresh, promising. Yes, it’s all very exciting isn’t it. Well before you jump all over your new year’s resolutions like a woman on a mission may I suggest you take stock of what you currently have and do a little…laundering. Yep – before you spend your time chasing the new you gotta start with taking care of the NOW.
The body you are in now.
The work you do now.
The people you love now.
The space you are in now. Mentally AND physically.
One of my new favorite hobbies to express my creativity and add some day to day glamour is Nail Art. A few months ago I finally figured out how to come up with some fun but easy way to glamorously paint my own nails using stickers, glitter, polish, and whatever came to mind really! Check out my Nail Art Board on Pinterest (such a fun fun site!) to find some inspiration of your own :)
Hello Lovelies :) Just a short post today about expressing and spotlighting the one-of-a-kind qualities of loveliness that you possess. One of the best ways to identify a true Hot Girl is how she rocks her own look and feels comfortable in her own skin.
In order to really exude that confidence it’s important to choose makeup and beauty bling that doesn’t just cover you up but allows as much of your gorgeousness to shine thru.
